How To Make a Lanyard

Here's what you need to make a simple lanyard (All included in your kit!).  This is just a basic example.  You can make an endless variety of lanyards with your kit!

  • Shock Cord
  • Heat Shrink Tubing
  • Cord End
  • Cord Lock
  • Split Ring
  • Super Glue
  • Scissors

Cut your desired length of cord and place a split ring onto the cord.

Place the heat shrink tubing flush with the split ring on the cord.

Heat for 5 minutes at 250F in the oven or alternately use a heat gun to shrink the tubing.

 Place the two loose ends of the cord into the plastic cord end.

Place a small amount of super glue into the cord end.

Close the cord end.  First use your fingers(Be careful not to get super glue on your skin.) then lock it shut with the included pliers.

Allow the glue to dry for a few hours or overnight.

Your lanyard is now complete!
